Panorama photography has been around roughly as long as photography itself.

Panoramas - pictures that take in a wider angle of view than normal images. These can be created in a number of different ways:

1. Shooting with a wide-angle lens and cropping off the top and bottom (compact digital cameras do this)
2. Shooting with a rotating lens set-up (rare, and only done with film, to my knowledge)
3. Shooting multiple images and collaging them together
